The photos below are from my bike ride up the old Vantage Highway through Frenchman Coulee. I was surprised at how easy the climb was. I've got a single speed fixie, and it was more a challenge going back down the canyon having to use reverse tension with my legs to provide braking for the bike. It was about 20 degrees -perfectly cold, crisp and clear. The trip was on December 8th 2013, it seemed like there were fewer people out in this region than other times of the year, I suppose the cold and pre-Christmas had something to do with that. It was nice having the canyon to myself.
